Parallax is about distance. Four modules in a fixed order, each doing one job well, and a single PARALLAX macro that scales all four wet paths together — so the whole voyage is one gesture, and one automation lane.
At macro zero it's bit-transparent. Each module also has a hard bypass, so you can run it as just a tape stage, or just the reverb, without fighting the rest of the chain.
Input gain → low cut → DUSK → HALO → NEBULA → CHROME → high cut → safety clip → output.
Cassette tape — asymmetric saturation, compression, a wow & flutter mod-delay and top-end roll-off.
A bowed pad drawn out of your own signal: auto-swell VCA, ensemble chorus and a swept formant.
An eight-line Householder FDN reverb with four input allpasses, gently normalised in-loop saturation and decay-dependent damping — big without turning bright or brittle.
Chorus and flanger together, offset 90° left to right so the movement reads as width.
PARALLAX scales every module's wet amount at once. Automate the one control and the entire chain lifts with it.
Switch any of the four out entirely — the plugin never insists on the full chain to be useful.
A sunset gradient, a perspective grid horizon, chrome wordmark, and the macro rendered as a slatted sun.
The same take, before and after. Hit play, then flip between the raw signal and the plugin doing its thing — no reload, no gap.
Spread across the sources you'd actually reach for it on.
Save your own alongside them — they land in your user folder and survive updates.
Unzip, drop the .component into
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components and the .vst3 into
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, then rescan in your DAW. It appears under
Award Audio Tools. A step-by-step INSTALL.txt is in the zip.
Space-voyage multi-FX — tape, pad, reverb & chorus.
